Transplant Scars
The two most common transplant scars are FUE and FUT. FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) where you will see an array of ‘dot’ scarring usually from ear to ear depending upon the amount of the donor hair used. In our experience, these are the easiest scars to camouflage and achieve the best results as they are flat so that we can blend these through to your existing hair. Excellent results are usually achieved after 3 or 4 sessions of Scalp Micro Pigmentation.
With FUT (Follicular Unit Transplant) we usually find a strip scar that is raised to varying degrees. These scars will camouflage with varying success and clients must understand that due to the nature of these types of scar we cannot promise the desired results. Results can sometimes take longer to achieve as we slowly build up layers of scalp pigmentation to disguise the scar area.
